THE NEXT E.A.R.S. "EATING MEETING" will be at Noble Roman's, Washington and Boeke in Evansville, on Friday, February 3 at 6:00 p.m. A complete report on the repeater network will be given. If you are interested in having Field Day this year, please attend this meeting! Come join us and see all your ham friends and enjoy a meal out together. As an incentive to boost our meeting attendance, we will have various prizes and programs at future meetings. If you have a prize to donate or a short program to present, contact Neil about scheduling. DON'T MISS IT!!

THE E.A.R.S. WIDE AREA NET AND NEWSLINE has been an instant success! Monday evenings at 9:00 p.m. Central time until 10:00 p.m. on the E.A.R.S. Wide Area Repeater Network is when our weekly net meets. Check ins are taken first, then we present Newsline, a 10 minute Amateur news bulletin service via satellite. After Newsline, we take comments, announcements, swap shop items, and occasionally a roundtable discussion of a topic featured on Newsline. Join in the group Monday nights at 9 p.m. Central!!!! Check ins in the last four weeks have included: in Indiana, Terre Haute, Vincennes, Sullivan, Farmersburg, Evansville, Newburgh, Darmstadt, Linton, Mt. Vernon, Chrisney, Richland, Poseyville,

THE "POSSUM NET" is growing! This net meets daily at midnight (Central) on 146.580 simplex. Many hams have rediscovered the fun of experimenting with simplex operation. Kudos to N9QJV, KE4OXZ, and N9TAC who have taken on this project.
