THE NEXT E.A.R.S. "EATING MEETING"
will be at Old Country Buffet at Morgan and
Green River in Evansville on November 10,
1995 at 6:30 p.m. Come and help us plan the
hamfest and meet all your ham friends!
THE ANNUAL E.A.R.S. CHRISTMAS PARTY
will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 1995, at
7:00 p.m. at Wolf's BBQ on 1st Avenue in
Evansville. PLEASE MAKE RESERVATIONS
by Monday, December 4 for this meeting! On
the buffet will be: BBQ chicken, BBQ ribs,
potato salad, baked beans, and more!!! $13.13
includes meal, drink, gratuity, and tax. Don't
miss this special outing!
LAST CALL FOR NOMINATIONS!!! If you
have an amateur you would like to nominate for
an EARS award, please send these to EARS at
the address above or to our e-mail address.
The nominating period will end on November
10!!! The awards are: 1) Advancement of FM
and repeaters; 2) Technical Excellence Award;
and 3) Repeater Operating Courtesy award.
These awards will be presented at the hamfest
on November 25.
THE E.A.R.S. EVANSVILLE HAMFEST IS
LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY!! We have
several prizes already, but we could use more!
We also will need help with talk-in, tickets,
security, etc. Call or write Neil to sign up for a
shift soon. The sign ups for working will start at
the November meeting.

REPEATER UPDATE: We are working on
getting Evansville back up to full power before
the hamfest. PLEASE remember to identify
ANY time you enter a touch tone command
(Control Ops too!). We are again experiencing
problems with people turning on the link without
identifying and leaving the link on during the day
and not using it. If you hear the link on during 6
a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays (except holidays) and
no one is using it, please turn it off. Thank you.
Troy, N9ZEK, proudly announces the opening of CTS Communications' store on Hwy. 57, about 2 miles north of the Hwy. 57 and 64 junction in Oakland City. Products include scanners, coax,speakers, car stereos, conncectors, cordless phones, surge protectors, various ham gear, 11 meter equipment, and used ham gear on a consignment basis. Hours are: Mon-Thu 6 to 11pm; Fri. 8 to 11 pm, Sat. 9am to 9 pm, Sun. 1pm to 6 pm

THE INDIANA REPEATER COUNCIL will
hold its semi-annual meeting at the Fort Wayne
hamfest on Sunday, November 19, at 1 p.m.
There is to be discussion about dropping
affiliation with MACC, joining SERA, a new state
wide PL plan, and the national frequency
coordinators meeting. This will be a very
important meeting.
