The time has come. We've been struggling with the decision to turn the repeater system over for a while, and after 28 years it's hard to do. We enjoyed doing things different, trying remote receivers, linking before it was done digitally, and doing all the fancy higher tech stuff. But, we just can't keep up with it anymore.

I've been trying to get everything fixed myself, and being so far away (and maybe even further at some point)... it just isn't logistically possible for me to tend to the repeater the way I would like.

So, we are in the process of turning over the keys to the Jerry Purcell, KC9ZAR Indiana Link South system in Washington. I know it's in good hands with Jerry, and he reminds me of the things we used to do... trying new stuff, and trying to hold things to a high standard.

EARS will continue to exist online, and in a support role. And if I do relocate, maybe I'll start up a new one. But for now, the repeater side of things is coming to an end.

Thank you all for your support over the years, and we are confident that if anyone can bring this system back to the powerhouse it once was, it's Jerry.

73,
Neil WB9VPG
